EDF and ZEBOX join forces to support sustainable innovation in Guadeloupe

For EDF, this partnership will contribute to its innovation dynamic both externally and internally
The EDF Group’s mission is to build a carbon-neutral energy future that balances preservation of the planet, well-being and development, thanks to electricity and to innovative solutions and services.
In Guadeloupe, EDF has chosen to approach the startup ecosystem by drawing on the expertise and network of ZEBOX, which launched in June 2020 an incubation hub in the heart of the Caribbean, in Guadeloupe, and for the past year has been supporting budding projects such as Myditeck or NST SMO.
The partnership will allow EDF to:
– identify and support project leaders in the energy transition and the fight against global warming
– contribute to developing and promoting a powerful local ecosystem
– stimulate internal innovation by acclimatizing its employees to the best open innovation methods
– develop cooperation with entrepreneurs supported by ZEBOX
ZEBOX is an international startup incubator and accelerator and member of the GreenTech network.
ZEBOX is particularly prolific in two areas with high potential for disruption: transport, logistics and mobility on the one hand, or industry 4.0 on the other. In this sector, ZEBOX supports startups that are shaking up traditional industry: Medtech, Agritech, HRTech … Committed to the environmental transition alongside its partners, ZEBOX promotes the development of sustainable innovation by supporting several GreenTech projects. The organization also joined the national network of GreenTech incubators in May 2021.
“At EDF, we know that technological innovation is an essential lever for the energy transition; we are joining forces with ZEBOX to raise it in Guadeloupe and translate it into concrete solutions”, comments Régis de La Reberdiere, Head of Innovation, EDF Archipel Guadeloupe.
EDF joins the circle of corporate partners of ZEBOX, alongside CMA CGM, GTT, BNP Paribas, CEVA Logistics, Centrimex, EY, CIMC and INFOSYS.
